Monacan Trail does well here. Has wonderful, hardy foliage that puts up scapes with wide branching. Reliably reblooms here in Tennessee. Bud-building and proliferations are to be expected. And it's pod easy and pollen fertile!

Good increase means many clumps to love or share. Like most cultivars, branching and budcount are higher when there is regular water and extra nutrients. When I heard Jim Murphy speak at the AHS Convention, he said that they only irrigate in summer in drought, so when I only do the same it assuages some of my hem-parent guilt. (On the other hand, I don't give 12 hours of deep watering for 2 inches of water.)
