This is the green/rust on top/purple on the underside. It is common to trim the leaves of rooting begonias to help it root faster since so much of the plant's energy goes into the leaves. So this plant start has been trimmed back. You can just see the underside of the leaf in the center of the picture This is a cane begonia and the mature plant leaves are huuuuge, as are the flowers.

This is another cane begonia but smaller in general. Gorgeous purple leaves on both sides with a lot of ruffling.

They seem to be taking root and growing. Wish me luck as we are having a hot spell in Texas. I hope they both grow big and strong for me to pass on to others,

I finally got pictures of the mother plant of my big-leafed red and green cane begonia babies. So far so good, but rooting is slow. Too slow for my lack of patience! LOL
