No, the point is not moot; and BTW, several points were made. The Jobe stakes are roughly the same NPK ratio as the slow release product. The only real difference is that the stakes have a binding agent/hardener that allows one to use a mallet and a sleeve supplied to enable driving the stakes into the ground. Also, it is unclear if a stake was pulverized or the fertilizer was bagged in granular form.
