The most scary thing is, we've been on the La Chua trail in summer when some really huge 10+ ft big FAT old gators have been sunning, and inevitably, there will be some tourists, either non-Floridians or Overseas, who will think its really an OK thing to get down close to the Gator and have a photo taken. There was a group of I believe German folks once (they sounded like they were speaking German anyway) who had a lady go within 5 ft of a HUGE gator so her husband should snap a photo. We tried to tell them it was a really, really bad idea but I don't think they believed us. If that Gator wanted her, she would have been toast
