I hope you all had a great Christmas it was a nice relaxing day here but actually brought cold with it our weather is starting to turn we went from 50's to 30's and had snow today that actually stuck to the ground starting to feel like winter has found it's way to Iowa ..
We are coming to the end of my seedlings for the year so wanted to share the last cross for the year from here this is 12-12 (Smoke and Thunder X Class Ring) and it was a dandy filled with lot's of good things in all sorts of patterns and colors and they have been a lot of fun to grow over the years 3 of them were sent to Schreiner's with 1 more being a possibility in the future
This one has been my favorite of the bunch because there is nothing else like it.. every bloom is just a little different from the next it your wanting something unique this would be the one it does not have all the frills and ruffles that I like to add to them more of a tapered look but you won't mistake it for anything else and that is what I'm after.
Midwest Pizzaz
12-12A
This won has been really popular with garden visitors for it's bright colors and how it looks in a clump it was sent out to different test gardens all over the country and seems to do well everywhere..I think it will be well liked a reliable bloomer year after year here
12-12B.. Tropical Vibes
This one is for chocolate lovers looking for something different in the garden a gorgeous blend of Coffee colors with beautifully formed flowers and show branching an updated version of Barry Blyth's Coffee Trader which we have much admired and hope to expand on his work with the Brown's in the future
