I use Succulents and Semps they are all season. Spring I have the flowers and Fall and Winter the leaf colors change. If I want to make them festive for Christmas I add a red bow. Sometimes a battery operated lights.
When you plan for container, do not forget to look for items that can add to the display other than the plants. So pay attention to interesting pots and pot stands. In this stand I add some ivy that is evergreen all winter or semps with trailing evergreen succulents.
Wreaths are especially good for the holidays. I start them early in the summer so they are ready to hang for the winter.
