Schefflera is extremely easy to propagate simply by rooting cuttings. Cut any branch approximately 6-8" from the tip, strip off the bottom 2/3 of leaves, dip in water then rooting hormone, and insert the stem into milled or peat moss. Keep barely moist and the cuttings will root within 2-4 wks.

I use air-layering techniques for difficult to root plants like fiddle-leaf ficus. It takes anywhere from 4-12 wks for these air-layered branches to root, IF they do root. Air-layering fiddle-leafs is way more successful than rooting cuttings from them.

The pictures shows approximately a dozen scheffleras, all grown from cuttings.
