Hi Eric, very occasionally I have seen IE seeds start to germinate in the pod when it has been left to dry outside on the plant and then got wet in late-summer rains. Any chance of something similar happening here? My guess is that germination was possibly underway before you planted the seeds, hence the rapid emergence?
