Last year the bugs were super numerous, but the heat was astronomical, so do not count that as a normal year for plants nor bugs. I found a Summer Squash Vining Yellow Grex that is supposed to be both vining and borer resistant...my borers live here year round, so just going with what is best to grow in limited spaces
