I mainly use them for starting seedlings to transplant, but the Red Robin tomato plants have flowered and fruited like crazy under them as well. Smiling

My understanding is that you want "full spectrum" lights with a Kelvin rating of 5000-6000; if you look at the Amazon links above and scroll down a ways the technical specifications for the lights are shown.
