Just to bring this thread to life. Midwinter is when root crops shine as they and leafy brassicas are the only fresh veggies in most gardens. Mustard , turnips, collards are still going great as are rutabagas and carrots. Even a trial of Australian Yellow leaf lettuce is still producing. Picking the last side shoots of broccoli.
