Have always wanted to visit the Conservatory whenever we are near Golden Gate Park and oftentimes too late to catch it open, and finally this Labor Day weekend we got in early enough. Luckily too it was open on Labor Day as it is usually closed on Mondays.
They have a special exhibit of prehistoric plants ongoing aptly entitled Plantosaurus Rex. Enjoyed so much the highland and lowland tropics display as well as the aquatic ones. Plus it is cooler in San Francisco, just glad to escape our 95F heat for awhile
