I agree. I think it all depends on how humid the air is as to whether you mist, soak etc. In very humid places I don't think even misting is needed, but in dry places misting and/or soaking are best. I try to keep an eye on the tips of the plant to see if they turn brown or not. And on the crown to look for rotting. The really great thing about air plants is that you can move them around and have so much fun with them! Rolling my eyes.
