Ursula, I believe Sobralias are only supposed to last one day, but continue to put out blooms all summer. I'll let you know when I know.

Lindsey, the only major difference I can see, without seeing the plant is that 'Newberry' seems to have better form. You can bet that the 'c' is C. dowiana !

Jim, I can see your dilemma with the photos. Both the David Sanders pics are equally good, in my opinion, and the Stanhopea doesn't allow detail in that large cluster. All pretty though!
