I got this from Northern Lights in May of 2022. It bloomed June 21 -July 07 with 9 blooms. It ended the season with one fan, the way it began it, except the fan was somewhat rusty from an epidemic.

In 2023, it started the season with 2 fans and bloomed July 17-31 with 6 blooms. Once again, it didn't grow new fans over the summer and ended with two fans.

It's a beautiful flower but seems to be having trouble establishing. It could be too close to the Pink Star Magnolia and might be fighting with the roots of that tree. I might try moving it this summer to a more favorable location. As a Durakian plant, it should do well here, it was hybridized 20 minutes away. It might just be slow to get going, I'll see what it does this coming season.
