I read this on a website about Osmocote:
"How long does Osmocote last in soil?
For example, an 80 degree soil temperature will shorten Osmocote Outdoor & Indoor from 4 months (at 70 degrees) to 3 months."
So the length of how long the granduals feed the plants depends on the soil temp. It doesn't stay 70 degrees long here in Florida, so 80 degrees is what I judge my fertilizing on. And I do fertilize at least 3 times a year. (Not in the dead heat of summer/fall August - October.)
