A sometime blooming, in my yard, dormant I find this diploid cultivar unimpressive: yellow self, small size, very short scape, slow fan expansion, although I have had it since at least 2006, so it is a historical survivor, and it bloomed last year to avoid bad things happening to it. Only one registered child (1988) and no grandchildren shows it has been of little use in hybridizing.
Why this cultivar has multiple awards is beyond my reckoning.
Maybe it does better Up North
I'd rather have Stella de Oro for a small short yellow flower.
