RJ: what are Tinka tulips? They look interesting! Sorry to hear you are under the weather. Now's not the time to be stuck inside.

Johannian: sorry about the tomatoes. Mine are outside and have not been happy now since they have rain on their leaves they look pretty perky! Hope yours are able to recover.

AM: still raining. And kind of chilly. Like to the point I may turn the heat back on today. Kind of chilly. The plants will have to learn to deal with cooler. Thus far they say tonight's low is 41. I'll see if that changes by mid afternoon.

I will have to bundle up and go take the cuttings. second on my list after putting sewing machines away. I am hoping to have luck in the short term with that.

And then I think I will try and finish up the dahlia layout. I know, I know! I've been yammering for weeks on this. I generally get started and pulled away to something else. Story of my days.

When I did the weed yesterday I did not see any that are ready to bloom. Will see what and when they might. I had some that look nice size and others that still look small and maybe that this is a growing year and not a blooming year.

I've plans for the rest of the day. Unsure where it will take me and how much luck I will have. Heat is back in and hope the chill in the air goes.

Hope gardens are looking good - even if only on paper!
Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle ... a seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl. And the anticipation nurtures our dream."
