Since the rain forecast was off by hours today I was able to get a lot of weeding done this morning in the Dog Yard Big Bed. I cheated and started at the narrowest point at the front of the bed, worked back and forth across the bed and filled up a large wheelbarrow without making that much of a dent in the weeds! Hilarious! I planted most of my marigolds in the area I had weeded, and watered them since I wasn't sure about the rain prediction. Naturally, as soon as I finished there was a good shower and it is raining again now. Also cleaned more porch furniture and another section of the porch. Our porch is quite large, goes all the way across the front and down one side of the house. I divide the cleaning into four or five sections so it doesn't feel like such a chore. Probably take parts of two more days to completely finish.
