I remember going to this botanical garden area of the Columbia Zoo and a lot of their perennials were burning up from lack of water. 
I think global warming has hit Columbus hard. My own garden has been affected also, and I have found myself planting more heat-hardy plants these last few years. The Franklin County Conservatory, however, remains spectacular.
