Thank you to everyone for the kind comments about my bloom photos.
Vickie - I have attempted to cross some of the survivors here. Not having much luck. I think it is the heat. It is supposed to get up near 100 degrees this week with the heat index. It is HOT! (And this is only the beginning of May, not August or September! I'm afraid to think how hot those months are going to be. Ugh.)
Little Rosy Cloud this year appeared to me to be somewhat of a bud builder. I couldn't believe how many blooms I was getting on each scape. It started out with just a few buds and then I would look again and see more buds forming at the top of the scapes!
Nan - I like your choice of cultivars. My taste is similar. I like the Pinwheel Princess cultivar. Nice!
Some of those that I'm seeing posted were some of my favorites before they eventually perished. I loved Siloam Double Classic (mine never had a single bloom, they were always doubles)! Jedi Brenda Spann was another of my favorites along with Whooperee. Lavender Stardust was very photogenic for me and such a pretty bloom. It bums me out to have lost all of those over time.
And another of my favorites was Wild One. I see a lot of newer ones with similar sunset colors like Wild One.
I love all the newer cultivars that many of you are sharing photos of! Wow! Daylilies have sure progressed to some amazing flowers and forms!
Avedon - I love your Neile's Paradise Purple! I have always loved bitone flowers! That is a beautiful one! What is the size of the flower?
Dave - I agree with others here, Fat and Foxy is a beaut!
Larry G - Dragon's Dare is quite a fancy pants cultivar! Love it!
Larry - Your Life of a Highway reminds me of another cultivar that I absolutely love, Dragonfly Dawn. I like your Buddy's Spook and Viva Las Vegas, too!
Honestly though .... I love them all!
