Lovely bloom Lucy!

Sunshiny here.

I got the skinny bed planted and compost dropped on it. Still need to water and preen, but for now it's ok.

Got the smaller of the two front beds compost dropped. Working on the larger bed but taking a break. I did not have a good idea w the compost. I had the hubs load it to a tarp for my use except the tarp is too heavy for me to drag. So I'm using a snow shovel (wider and flat) to transport to the beds. I cover the newly planted with their pots and dump on top of them. Except into the part of needing to plant the dahlias and I need to go root around the ceiling in the garage for my snipped cages that I use for shorties (or when I started w dahlias and thought 30 were enough the next year Rolling on the floor laughing ). I'm up to 126+35 seedlings give or take. Whistling

Anywho - so I need to do that before I add anymore compost as there are some huge poo balls in the mix and I don't relish walking or sitting in it right now. Doesn't smell, it's just not fully broken down.

Let me tell you the robins are having easy picking of worms and bugs. They are right there next to me like they are my pet snacking in my compost. Hah.

Had to write a letter of complaint to the hubs hr dept with the dental insurance. They have been sitting on my pre authorization since the beginning of the year. I really truly hope they pull service in the future from this company as they are terrible to deal with. And there is NO followup on their part if they haven't received anything which of course my dentist office has record of sending their last request. Do they think I am stupid? Evidently. Pay up people, we pay you.

Sorry to rant about my teeth. I'd like them back in my mouth so I can fully use my mandible as I was born to.

So if the strength keeps up, then I'll continue until early afternoon and then have to clean up to take kid2 to the clinic for shots.

So here's hoping I don't freeze and I can get this all done easily.
Summer, after all, is a time when wonderful things can happen to quiet people. For those few months, you're not required to be who everyone thinks you are, and that cut-grass smell in the air and the chance to dive into the deep end of a pool give you a courage you don't have the rest of the year. You can be grateful and easy, with no eyes on you, and no past. Summer just opens the door and lets you out. – Deb Caletti: Honey, Baby, Sweetheart
