The garden boxes are officially done. I just planted the cukes, put up the trellis, loaded w rabbit poo and the sprinkler is running for a good soak which I haven't done until now. Yes I'm behind!

I watered the skinny south again as well just to make sure they are well hydrated. The sun was warm today.

They say rain tomorrow in the early morn and then later in the day so I might just be able to deal w the south bed. I'll have to see. I did a perusal - I've got a lot of weeds in one spot. I don't know why. But the rest is pretty manageable. I'll add the flowers to that section as well if I can. I should also stop and do a spit weed by my peony holdover. If ever we get the porch done then the peonies would move back to the front, unless I won the lotto then I might move them with me as I have some favs. Or maybe just buy new if I won the lotto!

I haven't won't the lotto, but it's always good to have plans. Green Grin!

All I can smell is rabbit poo: it's an earthy smell like musty dirt. Hopefully it breaks down well and does a good job. I did add some to the non iris areas in the box and hope it kind of feeds. Will see what I end up with either lovely iris or a dead box. Thus far I have t seen any trouble w using it in the other boxes. Things have come up just fine.
Summer, after all, is a time when wonderful things can happen to quiet people. For those few months, you're not required to be who everyone thinks you are, and that cut-grass smell in the air and the chance to dive into the deep end of a pool give you a courage you don't have the rest of the year. You can be grateful and easy, with no eyes on you, and no past. Summer just opens the door and lets you out. – Deb Caletti: Honey, Baby, Sweetheart
