Mornin all!
So I've been writing on the cognitive changes of my mom. I was talking to her yesterday and she knows my struggles with inflammmation. But with the cognitive her thoughts have changed. She's like your whole problem is your old. Stop gardening. And I'm thinking to myself she gardened until it was unsafe for her with walking in the yard. And she didn't stop with sayin I'm old once, 10 times in the conversation she told me I was old.
Have I said cognitive issues are harder than heck to deal with?!
I came down the stairs in a panic at 245 am thinking I had forgotten mom's bills. Whew, have not. But as u went by the stair window it smelled like beautiful rain. It started slow and then came down heavy! Yay - now if only the rains come weekly this summer.
Today will find me trying to get the south bed done between the raindrops. Planted and weeded. And then I need to haul up and out the rest of the dahlias: get them sorted on the front porch and ready for plant out. I'll sort by size and duplicates together so easy for pulling for planting. And finally if all goes well and garden mojo stays with me: drive the stakes. I'll see what I can do!
Melissa: I'm learning slowly how to pace myself in the garden. Did the BF bring you any European tubers? Maybe as part of his tours he should plan a beer and garden one? You can help him plan the growers and gardens to visit. If I had the time/money I'd consider it!
