Pause in the rains here but the sky is getting dark again and I'm perfectly open to a full day of rain. We sure need it and it is free water for the plants. I should probably stick some buckets out to catch and I can use to water!

Have you ever lived with stuff because it was in place when you arrived and never made changes until you have a brilliant idea and like EUREKA! And you're like why didn't I do this 15 years ago with everything else. Hah. I had one of those about the garage inside storage. I think we'll be making some changes this summer!

All the dahlias and last of the annuals are now on the porch. I gave them all a good water and maybe they'll get some rain on their leaves while sitting there and with fresh air and maybe some sun here and there.

Once the porch dries then I'll sort them by height. I also need to mark some off my chart as they fizzled.

And if it does dry for some of the day, then I will head out and see about some weeding and planting. But I'm unsure that will be the case today.

And maybe a day off from the garden is ok.
Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle ... a seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl. And the anticipation nurtures our dream."
