Your flowers are starting to quake;
Your plants are beginning to shake…
What on earth could it be?
Could it be that they see
You approaching with compost and rake?
Your roses smell lovely and sweet
And their colorful hues are a treat,
But I've heard that as soon as
You get out your pruners
They all turn as white as a sheet.
Growing plants though is really good fun,
And one plant is better than none,
And it's not a big deal
If you now and then feel
That they wish they had legs and could run.
