I have Homestead verbena under Julia Child and I like that combination even better than the orange rose/homestead. Here, where some winters are wet and some are dry, it survives no matter what. The past winter was mild, and the verbena was pretty raggedy this spring. I cut it back and it sent out new stems and now it looks great.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
