One of my own root roses I got from RU back in '09 is about 6' tall (climber) and the cane is over an inch thick. Orange Velvet.
I saw the VG email come through and almost 100% of the roses I was looking for was available only as custom root. Beh. I've ordered twice from Heirloom (once as Heirloom, once as John's Miniature Roses). None of the Heirloom roses made it, and half of the John's Miniatures made it. So I don't have a good feeling about them. Of course, this was in '09 & '10, so maybe they're different now?
Cindi - Star of the Nile is a GORGEOUS rose. LOVE that rose. Got it from RU a few years ago (I ordered one for me, one for Alan). But what they show as SotN & what I got are two totally different critters. Here's more like what I have for SotN:
