Cindi - It sprinkled for a few moments this morning, supposed to have more "rain" tonight/tomorrow/Wednesday. I hope so! I just did a lot of painful work in the front. I ripped out the rock in a section about 25' long by 3' wide that narrows down to about 6", but it was over 8" deep! Damn I had put a lot of rock in there! All I had growing in there, other than lots of bindweed Thumbs down was 2 Russian sages, a lot of mishmash irises, and some yarrow that didn't really do well this year. So I put in some el cheapo mums from HD & Lowes, plus built it all up w/more top soil & then then topped it off with red mulch. Now my back's killing me. Why? 'Cuz I had to rip out the rock with a small hand rake (http://www.bloomingarden.com/G...). BIG pile of rock, probably 2 wheel barrows full. Bleh. But it's gonna look so good when it's done!
Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet...
