Tina, so many darks have burned here in our summer sunlight and heat and I've gotten rid of them, so I'm now gravitating to the more pastel daylilies, or bright but not so dark. And the few really dark ones I currently have get only filtered sunlight or just a very few hours of morning sun, and I don't know yet how well they will bloom -- or even if they will bloom. It seems that some daylilies just will not bloom for me, and I end up getting rid of them after two or three years. I had PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN for almost four years and never saw a bloom -- sigh!
