This is Dendrochilum glumaceum?
Yes, I would say the pot is a bit big, it doesn't look too happy all around.
If that were me, I would take it out of its pot, trim away all dead stuff and repot into a smaller pot. I find Dendrochilums are quite happy with a bit of loosened Coconut fiber about their roots, no other medium needed then.
