@crittergarden, I don't have the specific botanical name for this tree. I went on a garden walk in Bloomington, Illinois, and these seem to be a popular plant in the area. I saw them in at least 5 different home gardens (out of maybe 15 on the entire tour?), and they all had this coloring. I don't know if it is because of the geographic location, a particular cultivar, or the season in which I took the picture. I thought they were a beautiful and unusual tree, so I took pictures at several different locations! All of the ones with labels just said Tri-colored Beech Tree. I try to make a point of photographing the label after the plant, so I can look it up when I get home.
