Clamp-do -dads = rod clamps?
I am using the same shelf system in the greenhouse too. Husband Klaus put the whole thing together for me.
Those aluminum rods and clamps came from a chemical pilot plant which closed down and we saved them from the compactor. It is standard lab supply. Our luck and perfect timing! The shelves are Home Depot closet shelves.
About the 5000 trips - you are not kidding!! I carried them all through the house and down, it takes me days. But it is excellent exercise and that is the stuff which keeps me reasonably fit.
Yesterday I washed out all greenhouse trays and stacked them in the garage over the Summer, and the next thing is scrubbing the greenhouse inside and outside/ polishing the glass panes.
