I have a Tall Bearded Iris Bed in the middle of my backyard flower bed. I admit that backyard space is mostly daylilies though. So this late spring I had moved some iris from the very end of the bed near the pathway and put up a vertical trellis and planted cucumbers. Now that the cucumbers are all done for the year and the vines are long pulled out I can see more of what I need to do in order to put in place my plans of more veggies. First off I redid the two metal fence posts I had already used because I had really put them in all leaning all over the place. That is what I get for planting first and trying to fix it later. But now I was also able to measure and put in another two four feet down. So I will have more trellis space for next year. In between I have plenty of space for accress to pick when they are full of fruits.

Now that those posts are in for trellis, I will be needing to move some more iris again. But now I know where the veggies will exactly go and I can see what needs to be moved. Makes things much easier when I can actually see it out in the garden instead of just plans in my head.
