This is a followup to my earlier post about this tomato. This is a definite keeper! I'm so glad I tried it because it will become a standard variety for me to grow each year, along with Mortgage Lifter and Black from Tula. My CPs and BKs didn't fare too well and I'm not sure why. Ditto on the Caspian Pink and Prudens Purple. Could be I was late getting the plants set out and they didn't have time to start producing before the rains set in, but both Caspian Pink and Prudens Purple are splitting badly, helped along by squirrels and raccoons. I wouldn't mind sharing my tomatoes with them if they'd just leave me a few good ones! They probably would be delicious if I could only get to them before the splitting and the critters.
I think that if ever a mortal heard the voice of God it would be in a garden at the cool of the day. ~F. Frankfort Moore, A Garden of Peace
