My hubby took me to town saturday, thats a treat sometimes since we live about 50 miles from any city big enough to have a lowes, home depot etc...Lowes had some upright sedum spectabile,i got one called Pink Bomb Sedum and one Neon Sedum. Some of the pots had fallen over & they had a lot of broken stems which i was able to get to bring home to root.I came out pretty good at lowes.

When looking at the tags there are some differences between the 2 plants, the neon sedum was labeled with an average height & width of 24" and the only thing under pruning is to removed dead stems in spring & fertilize in the spring.growth rate fast.
The Pink Bomb Sedum, average height & width is 12",prune after flowering, fertilize spring & summer, growth rate medium.

So the neon must die back in winter & pink bomb must not die back in winter to need pruning after it blooms. Will take a picture to post after i get them in the ground & they all are blooming nice.
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
