Here's Perilla 'Magilla' in mostly shade (with Persian shield, Strobilanthes dyerianus):
Perilla 'Magilla' is directly behind the Caladiums, and in front of the big elephant ears on the other side of the fence. It will get tall either way, but in more sun, it's primarily burgundy. The patch on the other side of the fence was planted much later, from a cutting about 3 months ago:
