I wish I was going to lunch with them! They are two of my favorite daylily people.
David is one of the daylily legends. He is well known for breeding reds and doubles. Mort has been working with patterns for years!
Both of them are very generous with their time, and donations, to clubs, daylily events etc.
David is a native Floridian, but moved near Lexington KY a few years back, to a historic big brick home on a hilltop.
David's father was a flower breeder, so he was brought up with hybridizing.
