Leslie, thank you so much for that interesting article. The daylilies pictured are beautiful and the forms are very interesting. Who knew daylilies could be such a complicated subject? Hilarious!

I was wondering if you can help me with what kind of form this daylily is? I received this NOID daylily in a trade with a neighbor and have never been able to figure it out. I don't care about identification (I really believe that it is not registered and got it about 8 years ago, so I know it's not a new cross).

It blooms at the same time as Mabel Nolen and is about the same height (30") and is also fragrant. I have been told that it looks like a hose in hose double. Sometimes it seems to not double completely, but has consistently had extra petals throughout the years. Sometimes I wonder if it isn't just a freak Smiling , but it wouldn't bother me though, because it smells so good.
