Hi Caroline --
I am not too familiar with these. From what I'm reading, J. laevis acts like a biennial and J. crispa is a perennial but sometimes doesn't return the third year (when cultivated). They are native to rocky mountainous areas and definitely a wildflower in some places. I hope someone who has grown these will come along with more info on how they act in cultivation. They are a lovely blue color.
