For those of you that are trying to grow Cyms., You might find this interesting. Can't get this to paste, but Casa de las Orcquideas has some good culture sheets for Cyms /Zygos....same culture. This is a specialty nursery on the So. Cal coast, and I'm not impressed with their catalog, but the culture is appropiate, at least for here. When they refer to Santa Ana, they're talking about our hot , dry desert winds that (normaly) come in spring and fall.
Unfortunately, there is no advice for 110 degree temps...one of my Cyms got fried Mon., along with some other plants...
Incedentaly, the paph. I just bought is from the "Roland Collection", if you look at this website. She lives close to me, and is selling off her plants due to old age and disabilities. She had lots of paphs and Sobralias, among other things, at her booth.
