I used to feel a little bit embarrassed to mention to people that I grew up in the head of a holler in the mountains of Southeast Kentucky. There is that perpetual stigma attached to it, you know. But the truth is, I was the lucky one, and I am even luckier to now have those memories to live by. And someday, when I'm gone, I hope some of those memories will still be around.
Thank you, Pegi.
I appreciate having you to share the memories and the stories with.
