I have been buying daylilies on the lily auction (use a different name on the LA) since 2001 well over 300 purchases from 126 sellers. Only one was not a good daylily never purchased from that person again and they no longer sell on the auction (not a pricey daylily). I pay attention to feedback looking for a lot it indicates they have been selling for a long time and know what customers want. This year I purchased from a first time seller because of her description and was very happy with my purchase. When I see a daylily I like I check out the feedback if the feedback is OK I will make a bid. I know that I have been very lucky with my purchases only a couple of times were the plants very small but some plants make small fans and all of them grew and bloomed.
The one thing is that I do not often bid on single fans as double fans grow better here in the north. I am no longer making many purchases my garden is full so something has to leave to make room for something new. WIthout the LA there would not be near as many daylilies in my garden and no they are not all dormants there are also sev's and some ev as well. The LA is very addictive and I still check it out you never know what treasure you may find just stick to a budget.
