LOL - oh boy, BT,DT!!!! Complete with DH, only he was just shaking his head....

Well, first off ,there's a lot of different cactus, although really, I probably grow more succulents than cacti - you've heard the old saying, all cactus are succulents but not all succulents are cactus? Anyway, my biggest project has been using some some purple fountain grass in some big planters (2) with calabrocha, gazania and herbs and ornamental sweet potatoes as spillers. They came out pretty good, but will need some tweaking - the gazanias are great colors, but too short to really show off against the grass.

The biggest and first goal was to get more trees in. Many desert plants love the dappled light you get under desert trees, almost *no* plants (even cactus) like being out in our full sun, it's just murderously hot. So, 9 trees later, two still to get into the ground, and two more to purchase and plant.

Then there's my agaves - some of my absolute favorite plants, and one of the few that I missed while living in TN. Love their sculptural form; slow growing, but worth the wait. I'm also growing a number of aloes (and have a few more on my list!), some salvias, guara, and gaillardia. Will be putting out seeds for more gaillardia, desert bluebells, penstemon and california poppies. Spring is a great time for wild-flowers, here.

Anything new in your garden this summer?
In the end, only kindness matters.

Science is not the answer, it is the question.
