Yes, cat door, but same thing. One cat door comes in through the screen, then the second one goes into our bedroom. Luckily they've never come into the house . . . the cat defends her door stoutly, and it makes enough noise that I wake up. But these raids always happen when we're on the verge of leaving town, so we replaced that door this week with a fancy one that 'reads' the microchip on the cat.

To be fair, the raccoons are around all the time, but they only come into the cage when there's something that smells good in there, like a big, fragrant Cattleya, or in this case my Brugmansia Charles Grimaldi was in full bloom and perfuming the whole neighborhood. Used to come in after drinking water when the weather got dry, but I leave water around the yard now for them to drink. (c/w mosquito dunks so we're not breeding skeeters) In winter I catch the overflow from my Earth Boxes and even the cat drinks that water.

Come to think of it, my Blc. Chia Lin is about to burst, so I'd better place it outside the cage for our trip!
