After reading all of the suggestions, I think I remember the name
of Dyckia. Hetty may remember the man who lived in Missouri who
was the resident expert (on DG)on these types of plants. We had a
plant trade and this was one that he sent in a box of many kinds.
They were all labelled........at one time....
He sent one that was named 'Painted Fingernails', which may have
beensome kind of bromeliad????I'll insert the picture below and
maybe someone can ID it for me. I now have three of these which
are getting some size on them. How large do they grow to be?
I've have given away a couple of them. Do they ever get a red
center in them to go with the tops?
