You were correct the pictures were of the same flower,sorry for not saying so!! I have brought my plants inside,the one that i almost lost to rot this summer and then it popped back like a champ and even bloomed for me (i still give yall a place in saving it) has began to go dormant.I have held off on water,no longer getting so much light.It will be taking it's spot out of the way in the corner of my bedroom soon.While this one is going dormant as usual,the other one i got this summer hasn't dropped but maybe 3 leaves after being brought inside.I am giving them both the same treatment but getting different reactions.I will give it some more time & see what it does.They look different & i guess the one with the long leaves goes dormant more slowly than the other. I learned a lot this summer about caring for these plants and will do some research on them this winter!!!


I didn't know if the plants had names for the blooms colors like christmas cactus the different colors are how they are labeled.
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
