Friend: "Why do you have a sunflower painting sitting on your kitchen chair?"

Me: "Because I have to wrap it to ship on Monday and I'll be wrapping it on the table."

Friend: "Where are you shipping it to?"

Me: "I dunno."

Friend: "Then why are you wrapping it if you don't know where you're sending it?"

Me: "Because it's an acorn raffle that really isn't a raffle and we won't know the winner till Little Man pulls the name out of the . . ."

Friend: "Out of the oak tree, right? Yeah, sure. Is this my Christmas present you've painted? Oh great! I have the perfect place for it right now and I could have it up for Thanksgiving when the family comes in. . ."

Y'all don't know how close I came to having to paint more sunflowers over the weekend.
