Lori, feel free to pass on the pic as I'd like to know what this is. I wish I could have gotten a cutting. It was gorgeous, growing in both shade and part sun.
This was found while on a business trip to Kauai. IDK what zone Lihue, Kauai is in?? I toured the hotels amazing garden and saw it. I also saw it growing along the golf courses.
Here is another picture it is growing behind the dwarf Monkey Grass. It is taller than most ajuga masses, about 12". I think I am returning to Kauai mid December, I will get more pictures or try to smuggle in a cutting. At the very least, find a gardener (who are usually hidden from view!) and get him to give me a personal tour:
