*note – do not eat just any old lily bulb that you find in your garden because there are several species of lilies used to make soap which are toxic. buy only the safe, packaged for food bulbs as in the photo above.

Not exactly a credible source and I've never heard of making soap with lily bulbs, but it should raise a "just in case" sort of heads-up.. Personally, I think the author is talking about some lily imposter as I mentioned in the first post in this thread, or is somehow extrapolating (erroneously) from the fact that lilies are toxic to cats.
